What Alfred accesses

With your explicit permission, Alfred can read (never write, send, or delete):

Alfred never modifies, sends, or deletes anything in your Google account.

These permissions are read-only at the API level. Google enforces this, not just our code.

Why Alfred asks for this

Alfred is a local-first assistant that helps you find and act on your own information faster: for example, surfacing a supplier email, pulling up a file, or checking your calendar before answering a question. Nothing is read unless it is needed to answer something you asked.

Where your data goes

Alfred runs on your own device or your own private server, not on shared cloud infrastructure we control. Data read from Google is used to answer your requests in the moment and, where you have configured it, stored locally in your own private vault on your own hardware.

We do not sell, rent, or share your Google data with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.

Revoking access

You can disconnect Google from Alfred at any time inside the app, or directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Disconnecting immediately revokes Alfred’s access.

Retention

Data read from Google is kept only in your local vault, under your control, until you delete it yourself. We do not separately back up or retain a copy.
